Just a Common Soldier, also known as A Soldier Died Today, is one of the most popular poems on the internet. Written and published in 1987 by Canadian veteran and columnist A. Lawrence Vaincourt, it now appears in numerous anthologies, on thousands of websites and on July 4, 2008 it was carved into a marble monument at West Point, New York. This work was created by Stephen Clouse, Guy Noffsinger and Tony LoBianco.
Guy Noffsinger – Director
Guy Noffsinger is a television producer and director, known for his work with NASA on titles such as “Space Shuttle” (2011), “How to Make a Documentary” (2010) and “Friendship 7 50th Anniversary” (2012) featuring John Glenn. With over two decades of television production in multiple capacities as director, producer, writer, editor and even a UAV Drone pilot, Guy has been blessed to participate in nearly every aspect of production from concept to completion. Whether as a cameraman or an executive producer, Guy feels at home with a camera in his hand whether in a tent in -20 degrees to a 100+ Qatari desert or the cockpit of a space shuttle or even a Micronesian jungle; the human story resounds and I want to be there to tell it.
