Duncan (25) is a solitary Marine, fresh off a tour from Afghanistan and considering the potential for his life after the Marine Corps.
Arriving at his hometown, Duncan is immediately thrust back into the world he left behind. He’s reunited with his loving family: a tight-lipped father, a drastically concerned mother, and a hyped up 12 year-old sister. But there’s only one thing on his mind –– attending his ex-girlfriend’s wedding.
Accompanied by his long-time burnt-out best friend Hunter (25), Duncan’s nerve starts to break upon arriving at the church. Not even Hunter’s laid-back pep-talk or a healthy dose of liquid confidence can get Duncan inside.
Little does he know, his ex-girlfriend Kara (24), has been having a crisis of her own. When her Runaway Bride Act sends her careening into Duncan’s path, he reluctantly helps her escape… and in the unexpected aftermath, learns that coming home is never as easy as you expect.
