Will Furman has over thirty years of producing and directing more than 80 award winning documentary programs. Winner of eight CINE Golden Eagles, three New York Film Festival Gold Awards, and over 50 other international film festival awards.

Completed documentary programs include BEYOND COURAGE – Surviving Vietnam as a POW, a fifty-six minute motion picture featuring POWs and family members inside the Hanoi Hilton and other POW camps; THE BEST YOU CAN BE, the competitive experience of the U.S. Olympic Team during the Pan Am Games; THE STONES OF EDEN, chronicling the difficult life of a farmer in rural Afghanistan; ALIVE! a one-hour TV series on health, nutrition and fitness; plus numerous informercials and educational television programs.

Furman is also an accomplished cameraman, often shooting his own films. In addition to being Director of Photography on over 50 documentaries, his fictional experience includes the docudrama theatrical feature SPIRIT OF THE WIND, second unit DP on the Italian feature film MURDER AT GATE 5, and gaffer on the feature film SECOND COMING OF SUZANNE.

He founded Furman Films and has produced more than 300 TV commercials for some of America’s largest advertising agencies: BBD&O, McCann Erickson, Foote, Cone & Belding, Ketchum Communications, J. Walter Thompson, K&E and Ogilvy & Mather.

Before focusing on the production of documentary films for television, he produced major public relations and marketing films for some of the most prestigious corporations, including Apple Computer, Boise Cascade, Black & Decker, Sun-Maid Raisins, Weyerhauser, Paul Masson Wines, Diamond Walnuts, MJB Coffee, Safeco, Kaiser Aluminum, C&H Sugar, and Levi Strauss.

An accomplished musician and composer, Furman has nearly 40 television and film credits. He performs regularly as a singer doing Broadway, rock & roll and jazz numbers, and frequently sings the National Anthem at major league baseball games. Furman also produced the only music specifically recorded for George Lucas’ mega-hit film, AMERICAN GRAFFITI.
