Kristi L. Simkins is an award-winning screenwriter and director from Seattle, Washington. In 2010, she was a finalist in the Your Big Break screenwriting and filmmaking competition for her short film SOMETHING SPECIAL, in which she collaborated with Academy Award-winning producer Barrie Osborne (LORD OF THE RINGS, THE MATRIX). She also won The Great American Short Screenplay Contest, Best Short Script in the 2010 Screenwriting Expo Screenplay Competition, and Best Short Short in the Champion Screenwriting Competition.
Kristi is a passionate filmmaker with a deep interest in global affairs. Combining her love for film with her graduate degree in International Relations, she is devoted to using the unique power of film to move people, provoke thought, and showcase important global issues.
