As part of its continuing efforts to recognize the creative work of military veterans in Hollywood, the GI Film Festival announced that it will present Army Veteran and television star Mark Valley with its inaugural Veterans in Entertainment Award. The presentation is scheduled to take place on Friday night, May 10th at the AMC Theater in Shirlington Village (Arlington, Virginia).
Mark is one of Hollywood’s most versatile and respected actors; he has amassed a diverse body of work collaborating with some of the most iconic writer/producers.
Mark played Brad Chase on David E. Kelley’s revered BOSTON LEGAL for which he received the SAG Award nomination three years in a row for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a comedy. He teamed with David E. Kelley on HARRY’S LAW opposite Kathy Bates for NBC and can most recently be seen in the ABC series BODY OF PROOF.
Mark also starred in the J.J. Abrams drama FRINGE, and in the McG produced HUMAN TARGET.
Other notable work in television includes Mike White’s PASADENA, John Well’s ER, Ed Zwick & Marshall Herskovitz’s ONCE AND AGAIN, and Joel Wyman’s KEEN EDDIE.
He recently completed shooting the feature STOLEN for director Simon West opposite Nicolas Cage, Danny Huston, and Malin Ackerman.
Mark is a graduate at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
