Starting Strong
Schroder has spent 35 years in front of and behind the cameras of Hollywood. With his first starring role in 1979’s film THE CHAMP came worldwide notoriety. Then later, performances in “LONESOME DOVE,” “NYPD BLUE,” “24” and “THE LOST BATTALION,” in which he portrayed Army Medal of Honor Recipient Major Charles Whittlesley for heroic service during WWI. Schroder has transitioned into a rare breed of Actor, Writer and Director. His award winning Direction of the music Video “Whiskey Lullabye” told the tale of a WWII Veteran who lost his battle with alcohol and was dedicated to his Grandfather.
Schroder is married to Andrea Schroder and together they have 4 children ranging in age from 8-18 years old. They spend their time between Los Angeles and Barcelona Spain.
Schroder’s film company OLD POST FILMS has recently created and produced a “Reality Recruiting Program” for the US ARMY and Schroder can next be seen playing a former Army Soldier who takes his skills to the LAPD: HOLLYWOOD DIVISION.
