Mother of Normandy

Doug Stebleton (Simi Valley, CA) Born in Glasgow, Montana came to Hollywood in 1984 and studied guitar at the music college Musicians Institute. Since 1987 he has been in the music business working as a music publisher in the area of film and television. He has a music publishing company called Iron Mike Music which has a catalog of songs that are licensed to film and television studios and to independent productions. Some of the company’s credits include Blood Diamond, Borat, Little Miss Sunshine, Garden State, The Sopranos, Ugly Betty, CSI, Scrubs, ER and The OC. With Stebleton’s background in film and television music in 2004 he made the transition into producing films.

His first two documentaries titled “The Moth Club-Return to Normandy” and “Mother of Normandy- The Story of Madame Simone Renaud” (www.motherofnormandy.com) are being produced by his film company Reminiscent Film Inc. Other projects Stebleton is producing is a documentary on Kustom Car Icon George Barris creator of the Batmobile and many other cars from popular tv shows and films over the past 40 years. In 2007 Stebleton partnered up with producer Heather Lowe and they have started the company Magic Town Films. Magic Town in currently working on a feature film comedy with Jason Connery attached as director of the film. Stebleton has a love for history and hopes to keep making films and documentaries that are inspiring, informative and educational. Mother of Normandy will be his second film that has been in the GI Film Festival. His first was the short film Operation Manor Assault.
