
David L Cunningham is an international filmmaker who has—criss-crossed the globe from the most remote island in the world—Pitcairn Island—to the outback of Australia, the deserts of North Africa, and most recently into the heart of the Amazon. Cunningham is a member of the Director’s Guild of America, represented by the United Talent Agency, and lives on the Big Island of Hawaii with his wife and three children.
Cunningham’s feature, TO END ALL WARS is set during WWII and stars Kiefer Sutherland and Robert Carlyle. A critical and global success, it is the true story of allied prisoners who started a secret university in a Japanese POW camp. The Veterans of Foreign Wars have also honored the film with The Commander in Chief Medal of Service, Honor and Pride Award.
Besides TO END ALL WARS and his many documentary credits, Cunningham has directed six other motion pictures including BEYOND PARADISE (Independent), LITTLE HOUSE (ABC – Wonderful World of Disney), THE PATH TO 9/11 (ABC/Disney), AFTER…(First Look), THE SEEKER (Fox/Walden), and most recently HAKANI (SBT).
