The Last Ridge World Premier

On a freezing winter night during World War II, the 10th Mtn Division gave new meaning to the phrase “uphill battle,” scaling a 2,000-foot cliff to drive the Germans from their perch. The rest was history: how the 10th turned the tide for the Allies in Italy, revolutionized mountain warfare & transformed winter sports.

Narrated by NPR's Scott Simon, THE LAST RIDGE chronicles their backbreaking training in sub-zero weather at 13,000 feet. No tanks, no trucks, no jeeps. Just the men, their skis and whatever they could carry.

Filmed extensively in Colorado, Italy & Afghanistan, THE LAST RIDGE weaves together re-creations, interviews, captured German footage & insights from current soldiers at Walter Reed & on patrol in Afghanistan.
